Hi, my name is Carolyn Aversa

My parents gifted me my first camera when I was 15, and it all slowly started to click for me. I began to bring it with me to sporting events and after school activities just for fun. That turned into doing friends' high school senior portraits, capturing family milestones, and even photographing an intimate wedding.



On the first day of class during my sophomore year at Penn State,  a professor said, "Where there's love, there's creativity," and those words have never left me. I have always found deep passion within artistic expression and human connection. So, I finally set my fear aside and fully dove in during my last semester at Penn State. While finishing my psychology bachelor's degree in 2025, I poured myself into creating celebratory portraits with my fellow graduates.

As I have grown, photography has become a staple of who I am and an anchor to my purpose. It ensures that my creativity remains as the light of the candle that guides me through the unknown. As long as I lead with my heart, I can never be lost. My limitless love for learning and life has blessed me with photography, studying for my master's degree in social work at Bryn Mawr College, working as a nanny, and being a volunteer high school cheerleading coach.

Through my experience of life, I believe there is deep meaning and value to have and to hold within each moment we embrace. Every moment matters. I am overwhelmed with gratitude that photography has given me the gift to turn moments into memories that we can carry forever.
